Is the nature of the mind is to get disturbed continuously and get distressed, is this is the nature of mind?

Answer by HH Radhanath Swami

It is the nature of the mind that is pursuing selfishness and egoism to experience this frustration and depression in due course of time. It is the nature of the mind that is pursuing needs of the soul to find peace, compassion, happiness and ecstatic enlightenments. It is the actual nature of the mind always filled with transcendental happiness. When it is connected to the will of the athma eternal soul. When we forget our real nature and pursue our false ego, under the conception of I am this body, I am this mind, I am this body, I am the controller, proprietor and enjoyer. Then the nature of the mind to become more and more into the implications and complications of material bondage and suffering. So if we want to free our mind then easiest way to chant mantra. The word manta means to deliver the mind from its artificial conditioning, to bring the mind to its original natural pure state and it for this reason the greatest welfare work is to teach people how to purify and cleanse their hearts to chant Gods Name.
